Founded in Dagenham by John Edward West and Harry Coe, this independent, family-owned funeral directors support families during their most difficult moments—guided by the founding principles of honesty, trust, care, and respect.

While the name West & Coe is synonymous with heritage across Essex and East London, its commitment to the local community has taken a significant step forward in recent years. Following the acquisition of the Barnard family business in 2019, the Harwich & Dovercourt and Kirby Cross offices have officially unified under the West & Coe name.
